Terms of Use

You must be an adult, and you must be the parent or guardian of the children you add, or have their guardian's permission. Children may use KindRoot on your device, which is what Child Experience Mode is for.

Your account is yours to keep secure: use a password you do not use elsewhere, do not share your login, and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it. What happens under your account is your responsibility.

• KindRoot memberships are paid subscriptions, billed in advance, monthly or yearly. The plan prices shown in the app are the real prices you will be charged.
• Payments are handled by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe's own secure pages and never pass through KindRoot.
• A membership grants a monthly allowance of Stories and Activities. Every membership includes the whole of KindRoot — plans differ only in how much your family can create.
• Your allowance refreshes every month, whether you are billed monthly or yearly. Unused Stories and Activities do not roll over.
• Extra Stories and Activities can be bought for an unusual month. KindRoot uses those first so none go to waste.
• Unlocking a Journey is nearly free, and each part draws from your allowance only when you open it — never for parts you do not use.
• If a creation fails to come together, the Story or Activity it was holding goes straight back into your allowance automatically. You never have to ask.
• You can cancel at any time under Settings. Your membership then runs to the end of the period you have already paid for, and everything you have made stays yours to read and revisit. We do not refund part of a billing period that has already started.

You can order a printed Story Book or Activity Book of your family's own content. KindRoot prints and posts it through a print partner; there is no file to download, because the interior carries your child's name.

• The price and delivery cost shown at order review are the real figures for that book and that destination, quoted before you pay.
• Payment is taken through Stripe, and printing only begins once payment is confirmed. Once printing has begun the order cannot be cancelled, because the book exists only for your family.
• KindRoot emails you when the order is confirmed and again when the parcel is genuinely on its way with tracking.
• A book that arrives misprinted or damaged is replaced at no charge. Write to us with a photo and a person will sort it.
• Printed content is for personal, non-commercial family use.

KindRoot uses generative AI to create personalized Stories, Activities, illustrations, explanations, suggestions, real-world ideas, and other content for your family.

KindRoot uses prompts, product rules, validation, safety controls, and other safeguards to improve quality and reliability. Those measures do real work, and they cannot guarantee that every AI-generated output is accurate, complete, appropriate, consistent, or error-free.

KindRoot uses safeguards and validation, but AI-generated content can still contain mistakes, inconsistencies, or hallucinations, and parents remain responsible for reviewing and supervising real-world Activities.

AI-generated illustrations may contain visual mistakes, inconsistencies, incorrect details, or imperfect representations. KindRoot does not guarantee perfect illustrations or exact character reproduction on every page.

KindRoot may decline to make something that would break its content rules or the law.

Content made for your family is yours to use, print, share with family and friends, and keep for personal, non-commercial family use.

Parents and responsible adults must review Activities, instructions, suggested materials, locations, destinations, recommendations, and other real-world content before a child participates.

The responsible adult decides whether an Activity or experience is appropriate for the child's age, abilities, health, environment, available supervision, tools, ingredients, weather, location, and circumstances.

Activities involving cooking, heat, tools, outdoor exploration, physical movement, animals, plants, water, travel, public places, or other real-world conditions require appropriate adult judgment and supervision.

Information about real-world places, events, schedules, conditions, availability, weather, or other changing information should be independently verified by you before you rely on it or travel somewhere.

KindRoot gives guidance and safety notes; it cannot see your kitchen. Skip or adapt anything that does not fit your family or your day.

KindRoot is not a school, teacher, tutor, licensed educational institution, medical provider, therapist, safety professional, or other professional advisory service. It does not guarantee educational outcomes, and it does not replace professional education, instruction, supervision, medical advice, safety advice, or other professional services.

KindRoot is designed to support family curiosity, learning, creativity, connection, and shared experiences. You remain responsible for decisions made about your family and for participation in generated Activities or real-world experiences.

• Use KindRoot to make content about someone else's child without their guardian's permission.
• Upload photos, drawings or text that are not yours to use, that infringe someone else's rights, or that are illegal, harmful, or inappropriate for a family product.
• Attempt to reach another family's record, or to work around Child Mode protections on an account that is not yours.
• Try to break into, overload or disrupt KindRoot, or use scripts and automated tools to access it without our permission.
• Pretend to be someone else, or misrepresent who you are or who you are with.
• Resell generated content or use it to train other systems.

What you upload stays yours; you give KindRoot only the permission it needs to make things for your family with it. KindRoot itself — its name, logo, design, writing, illustrations style, product rules and technology — belongs to Azend Wellness, LLC, and these terms do not give you any right to use them beyond using the product.

If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them to make KindRoot better without owing you anything for them. We are grateful all the same.

Parts of KindRoot are provided through other companies — Stripe for payments, Lulu for printing and delivery, and our platform host. Where you deal with them directly, for example on Stripe's payment page, their terms apply to that step.

You can delete your content or your whole account at any time under Privacy. Media deletion destroys the key that reads it and cannot be undone. We may end access for an account that is being used to harm a child or another family, or to break these terms.

KindRoot is provided as it is, without warranties, and it is not education, medical, developmental, or psychological advice. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or free of errors.

By using KindRoot you accept that you are responsible for how AI-generated content is used in your home, and you assume the ordinary risks of taking part in it. That includes relying on AI-generated content; taking part in generated Activities; using suggested tools, materials, or ingredients; and visiting suggested real-world locations or events.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Azend Wellness, LLC is not liable for injury, property damage, loss, or other harm arising from participation in generated Activities or real-world experiences, or for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of KindRoot. Nothing here limits any right you have that cannot be limited by law.

If someone brings a claim against Azend Wellness, LLC because of content you uploaded, because you broke these terms, or because of how content made through KindRoot was used in your home, you agree to cover the reasonable costs and losses that result, including reasonable legal fees. We will tell you promptly and let you take part in the defense.

To the fullest extent the law allows, the total amount Azend Wellness, LLC will be liable to you for all claims arising out of KindRoot, taken together, is capped at the amount you paid KindRoot in the twelve months before the event that gave rise to the claim. Some states do not allow certain limits; where that is the case, the limit applies only as far as that state permits.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

If something goes wrong, write to us first at grow@discoverkindroot.com. We will try to resolve it with you informally within thirty days — almost everything can be sorted that way.

If we cannot, you and Azend Wellness, LLC agree to resolve the dispute by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, held in Florida or, where the rules allow, by phone, video or written submission. Either of you may instead bring an individual claim in small-claims court. Claims are brought only as an individual — not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, consolidated or representative action. You can opt out of this arbitration clause by emailing us within thirty days of first accepting these terms; if you do, disputes go to the state or federal courts located in Florida, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

KindRoot continues to change, and these terms may change with it. If we make a material change, we will tell you by email or inside the app. Continuing to use KindRoot after that means you accept the change.
